Gene and Linda were first appointed by CBInternational to teach the children of missionaries at Murree Christian School in Pakistan. After 30 years, the Fishers had to leave this ministry when Murree Christian School was closed following a terrorist attack in August 2002. At that point the Fishers, along with about 100 students and other staff members, moved to Chiang Mai, Thailand.
Gene & Linda have always believed that God called them to work with missionary kids (MKs), and they now serve at Grace International School in Chiang Mai, Thailand: Gene serves as the band and elementary music school teacher, Linda serves as the secondary principal.
Gene is the twin brother of Judy Lyon, also brother of Kaylene Button, Kevin Fisher and Craig Fisher. Two of their grown daughters, Bethany and Genie, currently live in the midwest. Their other daughter, Angela, recently (2007) went home to be with the Lord. Gene and Linda would appreciate your prayers during this difficult time.
