    Dave and Sherie came to faith in Christ in 1974 through premarital counseling in Portland, Oregon. In 1983, after Bible school and seminary training, the Hendersons and their young family moved to Kalimantan Barat, Indonesia to be part of WorldVenture’s church planting and leadership training team. In 1994, the family moved to the Soviet style high-rise apartments of Moscow, Russia. Dave directed the educational department for Project 250, a ministry focused on church planting in the former Soviet Union.
    For the last couple of years until the present time, Dave has been using his administrative abilities for the WorldVenture team in Russia and other locations in Europe. Specifically, he is giving oversight to the process of strategic planning for many WorldVenture missionaries in Europe. Sherie trains future teachers of English at the Russian American Christian University that is the only accredited Christian liberal arts university in Russia. Through classes such as business English and Methodologies of Teaching she prepares her students for the rigors they will face in the business and educational world.
