Purpose Statement: To help senior citizens minister to each other using their wisdom, spiritual gifts and time.
There are over 175 adults over the age of 55 who attend West Side Baptist Church. Many of these people have served faithfully in the past and still have a burden for reaching the world for Christ. The Senior Ministry Team brings together the various efforts that are in place so as to provide structure and increase opportunities to serve. Through the provision of "First Wednesday" and other senior events, there are opportunities to reach out to unsaved peers.
Sunday Bible Study Class: Senior Sunday School Class will continue their study of 2 Corinthians in May with Teacher Gaylord Newby. Join us for a great time of fellowship and study at 10:45am in the Senior Ministry Center each Sunday. Come and enjoy great teaching and fellowship.
This summer the Senior's Class will be led by a series of guest speakers from among our Church leaders on topics of their choosing. Come and enjoy a refreshing time in God's Word with some great teachers. Note: The class will start at 11:00 A.M. The fellowship time before class starts will be shortened by about 15 minutes.
1st Wednesdays August 3, at 10am in the Senior Ministry Center. Steve Alumbaugh, The Administrator of the Flying H Youth Ranch will speak. Com & enjoy a great update on the work we support with our "Flying H Christmas" event. Root Beer Floats will be served. Bring finger food to share. Coffee will be provided.
